Welcome to OpenClinTech ("we", "us"). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

Use of the service

OpenClinTech provides video-first training and educational content for clinician-engineers and health technology professionals. You may use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
• You agree not to misuse the platform, including attempting to access data you are not authorized to access.

Accounts

You may be required to create an account using our authentication provider (Clerk). You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions and payments

Some features may require a paid subscription. Payments are processed through our billing provider (Clerk Billing). By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay all applicable fees.
• Automatic renewal unless you cancel before the next billing cycle.
• No refunds except where required by law or explicitly stated.

Intellectual property

All content on OpenClinTech, including videos, text, and course materials, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.

• You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute content without permission.
• You may use the content for personal, non-commercial learning purposes only.

Trademarks

HL7®, FHIR® and the FHIR [FLAME DESIGN]® are the registered trademarks of Health Level Seven International and their use does not constitute endorsement by HL7. OpenClinTech teaches the HL7® FHIR® standard; its courses are independent and are not produced, reviewed or endorsed by HL7.

Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic, PBC. Other product and company names on OpenClinTech, such as GitHub, Vercel, Clerk, Neon and Streamlit, are trademarks of their respective owners. They are used only to identify the tools being taught, and their use does not imply affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
• Attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the platform.
• Share your account access or resell access to the platform without permission.

Third-party services

We rely on third-party providers to operate the service, including:

• Clerk (authentication and billing)
• Vercel (hosting and analytics)
• Neon (database hosting)
• YouTube (video playback)

Your use of those services may also be subject to their respective terms and policies.

OpenClinTech provides educational content only. It is not medical, clinical, or professional advice. You are responsible for how you use the information provided.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenClinTech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these terms or misuse the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
